- So far things are going very well for our clients visiting Nuevo Laredo!!! Visas are being approved and issued rather quickly!

Here is an update from a previous client:

Mark,

I would want to suggest the future MAS clients who are on E-V-VC/E-V-C model to get all the documents mentioned below. I was asked each one of it:
If went to school in United States and worked on CPT or OPT get all the pay stubs while on that work authorization, all the work authorization documents from the schools, W2s while on the intern status and any letters from then employers
On H1: All the client details and contacts from day of the H1, and all contract agreements of all the layers between current employer and current client, W2s, LCAs and paystubs from day one of H1 , if changed employer or client and was on bench during that period even for one month consider not going to Nuevo Laredo, Visa officer is going to every detail so even a very small issue please don't ignore. If all the papers are there in right place he is issuing visas. Might experience certain delays with 221gs but the consulate works very fast to clear them.

- Here is an update from an MAS client who visited Nuevo Laredo this week:

Mark,

I attended the interview today and my visa is approved. Please find below the questions I was asked during the interview:

What type of visa you applying for?

Which company do you work for?

Where is the company located?

Are you a full-time or contract employee of XXX company?

What is your job title?

What are your job duties?

Can you give your I-129, LCA, and employment letter?

Did your company apply for PERM/I-140?

Can I see your certified PERM?

How long are you going to stay in the U.S.?

Are you going to stay in the U.S. for ever or do you want to go back to your country at some point?

Which city are you from in India?

Where did you do your Bachelors?

Where did you do your Masters?

Why did you choose that school?

Can I see your Masters diploma?

Can you tell me what you did since your graduation until now?

The duration of interview was roughly 15 minutes. Finally, he said your visa is approved and will be ready to pick up in 24 48 hours.

Only people with solid cases should consider visiting Mexico for stamping. Those who have issues should consult with an attorney prior to coming down. Email me if you have any questions!

- Here is an email from a previous client...

Hi Mark,
i am mentioning about my case for H1b visa stamping at Nuevo Laredo.
My interview was at 9 AM went there by 8:45 AM it took around a hour for securtiy check and name check. Then was given the a ticket with a number on it. when my turn came i went to the window the Visa officier start speaking in spainish, then he realized i was for H1b stamping and told me take seat his supervisor will be interviewing. Then after 45 mins his Supervisor call my name.

q1: who is your employer
q2: what is your position
q3: for whom do you work (client) and for how long
q4: ask me to show I129
q5: Degree certificates and mark sheets
q6: my work ID (badge)
q7: ask to provide details from the time I landed in USA for the first time (each client and duration)

he is making notes of all the answers i was answering

then no more questions became slient for 5 mins, i was observing him
then came the golden words saying "we are approving your visa"
but the golden words flew away before reaching me.

then he ask me to give me employer letter and client letter and passport. he took with him inside and told me to wait. then the other waiting for 45 mins.

then some other lady call me and gave me a entry pass to come back at 1:00 PM saying her supervisor is in meeting.

then the other part of the case. the lady ask me the same question her supervisor ask me, like how do you report your employer/ client manager? who take care of your work?

then she told me to wait.
she went inside and came back with 221g form.
she said we were able to reach your employer and got all the details, but your client manger was unreachable so giving you the 221g form.
i ask her what is next step? she told me to ask your client manager to call us or else supply them with the best contact number to reach my manager.

then i came back to hotel call up my manager and ask him for the best number to reach him and i also mentioned that he will be getting the call from US consulate. then after having the call with my manager, i call up the consulate and ask them call mu manager right which they did and got my details. then after 30 mins i callup to consulate to enquire about the 221g form and the call to manager. she told that your 221g is cleared and you need to submit the passport the following day.

i have submitted my passport the next day and received it from consulate itself rather then picking it up at DHL location.

But i do suggest for upcoming guys/gals to pls have the client letter and employer letter ready and also the contacts from the previous projects.
the US consulate people are making calls without waiting much. even though if you are given 221g form it will cleared at the earliest as you work and provide the required information.

All the best!

12/21/11

- So far things are going pretty well for our clients in Nuevo Laredo. If you plan on going for stamping in Mexico, this is a good option.

12/19/11

- We had one client that was on 221g and was pending his passport. He was finally approved! Here is his experience:

Hi Mark,

My visa is approved, after waiting over two weeks they have given the approval, just waiting to get my passport.

Here are the list of documents the VO asked me on 221g

1. End client letter (since I am working for a govt. Client they didn't provided it)

2. Contract between end-client and vendor

3. Purchase Order/Work order

4. Contract between vendor and employer

5. Also if there is a relation between employer and the end-client

6. LCA's for all the previous H1B application (I am on H1 for over 7 years)

7. Some how they figured out that I lived in different states and asked the reason and I told them that I was supporting different clients, so they asked me to provide reference numbers to verify my employment (I gave contact numbers of previous managers)

Hope this helps all the future clients, once I am back in US I ll write everything in detail on the guest book.

12/15/11

- Here is an update from one of our clients who went to Nuevo Laredo for stamping:

Hi Mark,

They asked me every possible question they could ask ,, and here are
the ones that i was asked:
1) DS-160, Passport
2) Contract between my employer and main vendor (along with Purchase Order (PO))
They didn't ask me for Vendor and main client contract .. but this
contract was asked for all other candidates who came during that week.
3) LCA (they asked this to prove that i'm working at the client
location which was mentioned in other documents .. just to compare)
4) I-129 form
5) My Green Card application process and stage in which it is now ...
my I-140 is approved ... so they asked me to show the copy of approval
for I-140
6) They asked for my pay checks and W2 .. and they asked me why my
address on pay checks is of New York address .. i told them ... i live
in New York and commute to Pennsylvania (my work location) on weekly
basis as my wife goes to school in new york .. and they asked me if i
have rented apartments in two places .. and i said YES.
7) Asked my who immigration story .. i started telling them when i
started my work back in india and how and when i came to USA .. and
the clients I worked with ... and change of Visa to another company
... I explained everything

What i felt is they are looking at 2 questions in your I-129 form ...
one is whether your company a H1B based company or not ..? means all
the employees of your company are on H1B.
and second one is .. whether your company has more than 50% of H1 employees .
My company is not a H1 company and it has only 20-30 H1s out of 900
employees .. which was a great positive point for me ... rest of all
guys who came along with me during that time has the both questions
answered as YES .. thats the reason why they were asked to provide all
the contracts and documents ...

i hope this info is useful for your future clients ...

04/27/11 UPDATE FROM OUR CONTACT IN NUEVO LAREDO

- Everything seems to be on the right track so far. There are 2 clients who are currently in Nuevo Laredo; one of them has been cleared and is only waiting for his visa to be delivered at the DHL offices and the second one seems to be on the right track also, he was only missing some documentation and was told to come back the next bussines day w/ all the documents ready. As far as the hotel accomodations, starting today, our clients will receive a great discount when staying at the CROWN PLAZA HOTEL, which is only two blocks away from the US CONSULATE..finally, I was told by the mexican immigration officers that our clients must bring their mexican visa before entering mexico; that means that our clients must get their mexican visa at their closest Mexican Consulate.
